Introduction

Rick Daniels (legal name: Bradley Minnis), is a radio broadcaster, podcaster, on camera TV host, and social media influencer. He currently hosts the afternoon drive show on heritage country station, KIZN KISSIN' 92.3 in Boise, Idaho.

 

He primarily covers and reports country music news and content. But also covers sporting events, like the NCAA March Madness Tourney, College football, Bowl games, the Indianapolis 500, and even the Superbowl! 

 

He also hosts the "Rick Daniels Podcast", which is heard worldwide on iHeartradio, iTunes, and several other distriburion outlets. 

 

Rick is also the most followed Radio & TV media personality in Boise and the great State of Idaho. Having built over 65,000 Facebook Fans, over 25,000 Instagram followers, and over 28,000 Twitter followers. This equates to an average of over 200,000 social media engagements a month. Rick easily connects with Idaho country music fans off the air, 24/7!  

 

Biography

 

Rick Daniels, was on October 14th 1980 in Washington, Indiana.

 

Rick spent time in foster homes as a child, with his brother Curtis. At age 8, Rick moved to Mt. Vernon, Indiana, where he attended West Elementary, Mt. Vernon Jr. High, until age 12.

 

Since the age of 5, he was addicted to listening to legnedary radio station and personalites. The likes of Brian "Beej" Jackson at "96STO", "Big" Bill Love on 99.5 WKDQ, and many more. 

 

He then moved to Terre Haute, Indiana at age 13, where he attended Gibault School for Boys, a private school ran by the Knights of Columbus. He stayed at Gibault til age 15, where he finished 1 semester at Terre Haute South Night School. It was there, his radio interest blossomed after working at the high school radio station for a brief time. 

 

Rick returned to Mt. Vernon, in 1996, where he bugged, and then eventually was hired at WBLZ/WPCO, as a board operator. He landed a summer on-air job, at WRAY in Princeton, Indiana as a weekend announcer. 

 

Rick went off after that summer to Vincennes University, to study Broadcasting. Which included work on 50,000 kW Hot/AC formatted "Blazer 91.1" WVUB.

 

Rick eventually went on to work in many midwest markets like Evansville, IN; Muncie, IN; Fort Wayne, IN; Champaign, Ill; Indianapolis, IN; and many more.   

 

The rest, is history towards a rewarding career at stations such as WSTO, WABX, WKDQ, WLBC, WERK, WMDH, WXXC, WQXQ, KQFC and currently at KIZN.   

 

Rick is currently the afternoon drive host on Idaho Country, KIZN KISSIN 92.3 in Boise, Idaho. He is the most recognized country music radio personality in Idaho. With 4 country stations in the Boise market, Rick cuts through the fuzz with his warm personality, social media presence, charity work, community involvement and promotion of the country music.

 

Rick started his radio career at age 15. He began at top 40 station 106.7 WBLZ-FM & country 1590 WPCO-AM , Mt. Vernon, Indiana in 1995 as board operater running St. Louis Cardinals & Chicago baseball games.

 

Charity Work:

 

Rick supports many charities, especially his work with the Man Up Crusade, which combats domestic violence against women in the Treasure Valley, Idaho and Nationwide.

 

 

Rick is also involved with the annual KIZN Keep Kids Warm charity, in total over $53,000 raised, and thousands of coats, hats and scarfs collected for Treasure Valley children!

 

Rick also had involvement in "Christmas on Us", which receives nomination letters from listeners for deserving families to receive money for better Christmas's.

 

Community Involvement

 

Rick tailgated every home game of nationally ranked Boise State Bronco Football. the City of Meridian Trunk or Treat, which attracted over 8000 Treasure Valley Families to safely Trick or Treat!

 

 

Rick is also a part of KIZN 2018 Kids Fair, at Expo Idaho, which attracted thousands of Treasure Valley family members with safe, family friendly games, & attractions!

 

 

Rick was a part exclusive access amazing events like the Idaho Potato Bowl, Idaho Potato Drop, the legendary, and nationally recognized Caldwell Night Rodeo, and Snake River Stampede. Two of the biggest rodeos in the world!

 

Rick also covers annually the Greatest Racing Spectacle in the World as a media memeber, the Indy 500

 

 

Country Music Involvement

 

 

Rick was part of the 5th Annual KIZN Jackson's Country Stomp, starring Kip Moore, Lauren Alaina, Aaron Watson & Seth Ennis bringing in over 8000 Idaho country music fans!

 

 

Rick was a stage announcer for the Mountain Home Country Music Festival, with Luke Bryan, Brett Eldredge! Bringing thousands of country music fans!

 

 

Rick also was involved with major shows in 2018 including: Garth Brooks World Tour 2018, The Soul 2 Soul Tour II with Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, "You Look Good Tour" with Lady Antebellum, Brett Young and Kelsea Ballerini.
